Aside from ascetics, this will also offer better stabilization of the rack itself. The PR-5000 also has larger, 1 inch hardware, also adding to increased overall stabilization. The PR5000 also has every laser cut hole numbered, where the Rep Fitness PR-4000 is only numbered every five. Hole Spacing is identical at two inches until you come into the “bench press region” where the PR4000 has one inch hole spacing to allow for a more “perfect” benching alignment. (Rep Fitness sells attachment that will covert 2 inch holes down to 1 inch spacing). For the PR-5000’s improvements over the PR4000, it does come at an increase cost. The cost difference starts at $100 but does increase when attachments are factored in.
Similarities
While the power rack differences stand out, there are far more similarities with their rack heights, depths, steel gage, footprint, color options, and attachments all being the same. Even the maximum load (1000 lbs) is the same for each.
